Italy's 1Mobile debuts Flash 5G 320 plan for under EUR 9/mth

Italian MVNO 1Mobile, also operating as UnoMobile, has marked its 19th anniversary and 1 million customer milestone with the launch of a time-limited offer that includes 320 GB of data at up to 5G speeds on the Fastweb+Vodafone network for under EUR 9 a month. The tariff also comes with unlimited calls in Italy plus 60 SMS and will available at the promotional price of EUR 4.99 the first month, rising to EUR 8.99 a month thereafter.

Orange finalises acquisition of 100% of Spain's MasOrange

Orange has acquired full control of MasOrange after taking over the 50 percent stake in the Spanish operator it did not already own. The French group said it finally completed the transaction after obtaining all the necessary regulatory approvals, including from the European Commission. It added that it intends to refinance MasOrange's debt "over time" and that the Spanish company's CEO Meinrad ⁠Spenger will join its executive ⁠committee to reflect the strategic importance of Spain for the group.

The Dutch OTT TV service NLziet expects to surpass 300,000 subscribers before the end of 2026, chief executive Niels Baas told the Algemeen Dagblad. The platform — a joint venture of NPO, RTL and Talpa — has recorded double-digit growth for several years and positions itself as a full alternative to television packages from Ziggo and KPN. NTT Docomo has begun selling smartphone glass screen protectors bundled with screen damage insurance, which the operator said claimed was the first offering of its kind from a mobile operator in Japan. Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) will launch a cloud-based firewall service for overseas business sites on 1 July, adding a firewall-as-a-service (FWaaS) option to its existing IIJ Firewall Management Service (IFMS). Bosnia and Herzegovina operator BH Telecom has reduced its prices for the Galaxy S25 smartphone series. Users can save up to BAM 168.80 for the Galaxy S25, up to BAM 161.65 for the Galaxy S25 FE, up to BAM 263.05 for the Galaxy S25 Ultra and up to BAM 249.70 for the Galaxy S25 Edge. Portuguese neutral network operator DSTelecom, operating in Chamusca since 2015, has upgraded its fibre optic network to cover over 4,700 homes in Chamusca, Carregueira, Pinheiro Grande and Ulme. This expansion provides residents with a stronger, faster internet connection with increased bandwidth and improved performance for digital services. As a multi-operator network, DSTelecom's infrastructure allows Chamusca residents to choose from major Portuguese telecommunications providers.
