Test and measurement company Agilent Technologies has agreed to acquire the assets of AT4 wireless’ Test Systems business. Privately held AT4 wireless, based in Malaga, Spain, is a global provider of testing services for wireless communications. The acquisition is scheduled for completion by early August, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial details have not been disclosed.
Via the acquisition of AT4’s wireless test portfolio, Agilent plans to offer its customers a broader set of test services, especially in the LTE market. In addition, the acquisition will expand Agilent’s wireless test footprint by adding NFC/RFID and Bluetooth test services for conformance and R&D.
The Test Systems business includes 130 employees in Malaga, who will transfer to Agilent when the acquisition is final. AT4 wireless’ other businesses, including Testing & Certification Services and IT Services & Solutions, are not part of the pending acquisition by Agilent.
