Airtel hikes 2G data rates

India mobile operator Bharti airtel increased 2G data rates, reports The Economic Times. Airtel increased the price of its 1GB 2G data plan by 25 percent to INR 125. Airtel did not say whether it would also raise call tariffs and 3G data prices. Vodafone India and Idea are also expected to increase select 2G data plans this week, industry sources told the paper.
