AME fixed operators to profit despite a challenging climate

While total fixed services revenue in Africa and the Middle East (AME) will experience a progressive decline in most telecommunication markets in AME during the next five years, fixed operators will profit despite a challenging climate, according to a study by Pyramid Research. Overall fixed service revenue across AME will grow from USD 26.2 billion this year to reach USD 27.2 billion by 2016, a CAGR of 1 percent. Fixed operators can profit from business broadband and FTTx examines the fixed sector trends in AME that are expected during the next five years, including the effects that activity on the mobile side will have on the sector.
