Apple iPhone 5 expected to outsell iPhone 4S in Taiwan

Taiwanese mobile operators expect that the Apple iPhone 5 will outsell the iPhone 4S. Operators sold an estimated 300,000 iPhone 4S units since its launch in December 2011. Meanwhile, pre-orders for the iPhone 5 are estimated to have exceeded 400,000 units, with Chunghwa Telecom receiving over 200,000 reservations, CNA reports. Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) and Taiwan Mobile recorded preorders of over 150,000 units in the first two days and over 30,000 on the first day, respectively.
