Apple to launch iPhone 5 in Israel in mid-December

Wednesday 21 November 2012 | 13:34 CET | News
Apple says it will launch the iPhone 5 in Israel during Hannukah in mid-December, Globes reported. This time, Apple is not only competing against Google's Android-powered smartphones, but also against smartphones powered by Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 operating system. The current average price of an iPhone 5 at private stores in Israel is ILS 7,000, and is expected to fall to ILS 4,500-5,000. The iPhone 5 has a 4-inch screen, a more powerful processor, and better photography capabilities than its predecessors. Apple said that it declines to comment on rumours.
