Apple's iPhone 5 first in 3 Sweden's sales classification

Friday 5 October 2012 | 16:51 CET | News
3 Sweden announced that Apple's iPhone 5 took the first position in its top 10 best selling handsets for September despite being made available to its customers on 28 September. The iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 were bumped to second and third and were followed by Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S2, HTC One X, Sony Xperia Miro, HTC One S, Samsung Galaxy Gio and Doro PhoneEasy 614. Although six of the phones in the top ten are powered by the Android platform, Apple also won the battle on the operating systems segment, a success explained by the recent launch of Apple's latest iPhone model, the operator said. Normally, the operator's sales of Android smartphones are higher than of those powered by iOS. This classification took into account the sales through 3 Sweden's website, tele-sales and customer service and 3 Sweden's 65 shops.
