Orange Switzerland offers Euro 2008 matches using HD mobile TV via HSDPA Monday 2 June 2008 | 11:24 AM CET
 
Orange Switzerland has launched a package of services targeting this year's European football championships Euro 2008, which will be held in Switzerland and Austria between 7 June and 29 June. Orange Switzerland will offer all its mobile customers unlimited access to the Orange World football section for CHF 8 including mobile TV broadcasts, live tickers, match schedules, news. For CHF 4, customers can access Orange World football section without the mobile live TV service. Orange also offers a SMS information service, which will offer updates on customer's favourite teams via SMS that costs CHF 0.50 per message. Orange LiveTV service is based on streaming via UMTS/HSDPA and enables customers watch all matches of Euro 2008 with their mobile phone. For HSDPA-phone owners, the service is broadcasted in HD quality.
