Mobilkom Austria will launch DVB-H-based mobile TV services on 13 June to its A1 customers. The A1 TV Plus offer includes 22 TV channels (15 via DVB-H, 7 via UMTS streaming) plus 5 radio channels and costs EUR 9 per month. The enhanced mobile TV offer is direct result from Mobilkom signing an agreement with Austrian DVB-H network operator Media Broadcast. A1 TV Plus will be sold in combination with the DVB-H capable mobile handset Nokia N77. The Nokia N77 will cost EUR 49 including the subscription to the A1 Komplett tariff. Customers, who acquire the phone before 14 August, will be able to use the DVB-H channels for free until the end of this year.
