TDC to cut 400 jobs from 1 October Monday 8 September 2008 | 04:18 PM CET
 
Danish telecommunications operator TDC has decided to carry out a reduction in number of employees to ensure that TDC can continue a positive development, after reporting low revenues for the first half of this year. The redundancy programme includes approximately 400 employees in TDC. It will primarily be carried out through a simplification in the product portfolio, organisational changes and reduction in the number of management. The majority of the involved employees will be released from the term of notice from 1 October. Moreover, 200 vacant positions will not be filled. TDC has made agreements with the union with regards to a social plan for the employees hit by redundancy.
