China Mobile opens mobile app store Tuesday 18 August 2009 | 04:03 AM CET
 
China Mobile has officially opened its mobile application store, Mobile Market. The application store is an open platform for all mobile software developers and China Mobile offers developers 70 percent of revenues from each application sold, the South China Morning Post reports. The applications are compatible with six major brands: Nokia, Samsung, LG, Dopod, Lenovo, and Dell. Mobile Market has six types of applications on offer: games, wallpapers, music, video, and e-books, and prices range from free to CNY 15. To promote the service, China Mobile is providing a free trial to users, waiving mobile internet fees.
