Construction of a regional broadband network has started in the Lodz region. Polish systems integrator Optonet won the tender for construction of the first segment of the network, which is supported by the local government. The Wimax network will cover five municipalities of the region. Work will start in Q3, and the network should be finalised by the end of the year.
