Friday 30 July 2010 | 17:06 CET
NatWest bank is ending its O2 Money partnership with O2 UK, NFC Times has learned. The move leaves O2 UK seeking a new partner for its pre-paid payment card and future NFC mobile payment services. Both companies confirmed the split. A NatWest spokesperson said it wanted to focus on its core banking business, while an O2 spokesperson said that they had agreed to part company after realising that each other's priorities and strategic aims were different. However, the O2 spokesperson insisted that it would continue marketing the O2 Money cards as it sought a new banking partner.
