Belgian Parliament's infrastructure commission wants Belgacom CEO Didier Bellens to better explain the departure of certain members of his staff during the Concetta Fagard episode, L'Echo reported. The commission has requested a public audience, with Bellens not under oath. The commission want Bellens to clarify statements he made on 9 November about the reasons behind the departure of legal director Saskia Mermans and human resources' Astrid De Lathauwer. At the time, the CEO said he had no knowledge of the circumstances around the departures but apparently, documents show this was not the case. Belgacom is, according to Belgian, an autonomous company, but one that must remain transparent to its main shareholder, namely the state.
