BSNL revises VPNoBB, leased line internet port tariff

State-owned Indian operator BSNL has decided to revise the tariff for VPNoBB and for Leased Line Internet Port from 1 February. VPNoBB will be offered as a separate service in line with the services offerings of MPLS VPN. VPNoBB will be offered in two versions, which include Low Cost Basic Version without fixed IP and on High cost Premium Version with fixed IP and committed data rate. The basic version is available for INR 5000 with 256 Kbps speed limit and for INR 9000 with 512 Kbps speed limit. The premium version is available for INR 6500 and INR 11000 in both 256 Kbps and 512 Kbps download limit respectively. All existing customers can be migrated to Basic version after expiry of present committed period or after completion of at least six months from the date of applicability of new tariff. The Leased Line Internet Port service is available in the bandwidth ranging from 64 Kbps to 155 Mbps. The price for 8 Mbps is INR 32,75,000 on a yearly basis for both non-ISP and ISP and for 45 Mbps, the annual rate is INR 180,00,000. The charges also include local lead charges if local lead is provided on existing media within the local telephone system area. The discount already provided to the existing customers will not be applicable on the new tariff.
