BSNL to launch DSPT service on commercial basis

State-run Indian operator BSNL has decided to launch DSPT service on commercial basis. The tariff for commercial use of DSPT has been provided. The sale price including installation of each DSPT terminal (1.2 m antenna diameter with BUC of 1 watt), amount to INR 80,000 and the sale price of SPV equipment per unit amount to INR 35,000. Among the voice usage charges within India, fixed monthly charges amount to INR 500 and call rate per minute for a pulse rate of 60 seconds is INR 5.00. The minimum commitment is for two years and other charges include WPC charges, service tax and licence fee. The DSPT service shall be provided after an agreement is signed with the customer. The DSPT will be procured for commercial purpose based on the request received from the customer. In case of surrender of service by the customer before the expiry of the minimum commitment period, the customer shall be liable to pay the dues on account of all engaged service for the remaining period and in case of surrender before the expiry of commitment period, the customer will have to pay a decommissioning charges of INR 10,000 per DSPT terminal. The transportation of equipment to site is customer's responsibility.
