Tuesday 23 March 2010 | 21:27 CET | News
Cable & Wireless Worldwide has won a 3-year, multi-million pound contract from HMV Group to replace the legacy network in its chain of HMV and Waterstone's stores. Roll-out of the new network has already started and will, once completed, connect 600 retail outlets across the UK and Ireland together with key distribution sites, including a warehouse operation in Guernsey. Cable&Wireless Worldwide is providing next-generation broadband connectivity across HMV Group's e-commerce platform to ensure that online sales are processed quickly and accurately. In addition, business grade ADSL2+ services will support HMV's next-generation in-store environment that is providing tech and gaming zones with high bandwidth requirements.
