Carphone Warehouse opens stores earlier for iPhone 5

UK mobile phone retailers Carphone Warehouse opened ten of its best performing stores earlier on 21 September, in anticipation of the "astronomical" demand for the iPhone 5, Mobile Today reported. Carphone will prioritise its iPhone 5 allocation to ten stores: Portsmouth Commercial Road, Newcastle Metro Centre, Birmingham New Street, Manchester Trafford Centre, and Leeds Briggate. In London, its Stratford Westfield, 272 Oxford Street, Canary Wharf and Westfield White City branches also opened at 8.00 am. Glasgow Braehead will open at 9.30 am. Other branches will get a limited supply of handsets.
