China Unicom receives 100,000 iPhone 5 reservations

China Unicom registered over 100,000 online reservations on its first day of pre-registrations for the Apple iPhone 5, the Morning Whistle reports. The operator will begin selling the handset from 14 December for CNY 5,288 for the 16 GB edition. Rival China Telecom will also sell the iPhone 5 and reportedly received 5,000 reservations for the iPhone on 2 December. China Telecom sells the device for CNY 5,780 with a contract.
