China Unicom to sell iPhone 5 before year-end
China Unicom is expected to begin selling Apple iPhone 5 devices by the end of this year. The company further hopes to end this year with 100 million 3G users, Reuters reports. "The iPhone 5 is currently being tested by the authorities, and we'll begin selling it once it has been approved," China Unicom chairman Chang Xiaobing said. At the end of September the company reported 66.86 million 3G customers.

China Telecom expects to sell iPhone 5 before year-end

China Telecom is planning to begin selling the Apple iPhone 5 later this month or early December, the Wall Street Journal reports citing chairman Wang Xiaochu. China Telecom and rival China Unicom have been waiting for government approval to sell the device and although government officials have not offered any time-line, both companies expect to offer the iPhone 5 before year-end.
