French ISP Darty Box will upgrade its webmail service to Microsoft Windows Live on 22 August, Ariase reports. After 5 years of existence Dartybox webmail will be renamed Dartybox Hotmail as part of the operator's new relationship with Microsoft. The interface will be faster, more intutitive and personalisable, based on Hotmail, but with graphic elements from Darty Box. Customers will benefit from 5 GB of e-mail storage, up from 2 GB currently, 25 GB of Skydrive storage to save and share photos, videos and other documents, the Office software suite in cloud mode to create and edit online Word, Excel, Powerpoint and other files, and online chat with Messenger contacts directly from Darty Box hotmail. Ariase writes that French MVNO Prixtel, which became an ADSL operator at the end of March, also offers these functionalities with its Microsoft-based webmail services.
