Digicel has opened its first Social Media store in Barbados. Located within Digicel’s flagship store in the Colonnade Mall, Bridgetown, St. Michael, the ‘Social Store’ rewards Digicel’s loyal customers and is part of a strategy to use social media to engage with the 10,000 customers who are fans of Digicel’s Facebook page.
Over the next few weeks, Digicel subscribers are invited to the store where sales agents will show them how to earn their bonus Digicel credit. At Digicel’s Social Store customers can earn Digicel credit by posting a comment about Digicel via a specially designed Facebook app on the Digicel Facebook page. Once posted, the so-called ‘social agents’ will immediately add the free credit to the customer’s account.
