Draka switches to 'bend-insensitive" fibres

Dutch cable producer Draka has switched to "bend-insensitive" fibre optical fibres for its complete range of multimode, UC-branded, OM3 and OM4 multimode technology systems. The BendBright fibre was introduced in 2002 as a nich application, but will become the defacto standard for FTTH project applications and data centres, Draka said.
