Dutch Bangla Bank launches m-banking services

The Dutch Bangla Bank in cooperation with mobile operators CityCell and Banglalink has launched mobile banking services. The service allows CityCell and Banglalink customers to deposit and withdraw cash, pay utility bills, conduct remittances, and balance inquiries, the Financial Express reports. Users will not need to open a traditional bank account with the bank. The Bangladesh Bank has given approval to ten private banks to introduce mobile banking services. The Dutch Bangla Bank is the first private bank to launch m-banking in Bangladesh.
