Dutch display ad spending reaches EUR 162 mln in Q3

Gross media spending on online display advertising in the Netherlands reached almost EUR 162 million in the third quarter, according to figures from Nielsen reported by Emerce. Of the 26 channels monitored, newspapers and other news and opinion sites had the largest shares of spending, at respectively 25.6 percent and 25 percent of all spending. Telecom/ICT companies were the biggest spenders, with a 16 percent share. Weather and traffic sites attracted the third-largest share of spending, followed by comparison sites/online marketplaces and TV sites.
