Wireless networking equipment maker Enfora has won a contract at mobile resource management services provider Navdom. Under the terms of the contract, Enfora will deploy its Spider Mobile Tracker wireless platform in a mobile tracking system for a leading insurance company in Spain. The Navdom system will monitor real-time driver mileage, speed and location, enabling the insurance company to reduce customer premiums based on driver habits and behaviour. Access to this data is expected to increase the accuracy of premium calculations, as well as driver security via the use of a panic button feature on the Spider platform. The Spider MT-Gu is a quad-band, GSM/GPRS/GPS and IP-based wireless tracking platform. Enfora's Spider product family of integrated platforms is designed to support a variety of wireless applications, comprising asset management, tracking, as well as remote monitoring and control services.
