UAE operator Etisalat has launched new Managed Secure Connect (Unified Threat Management-UTM) products aimed at providing businesses with a fully integrated and multi-faceted protection from network threats through one single device. Features include anti-virus, anti-spam, web filtering and deep inspection services. It will be offered to small, medium-sized and large enterprises under six different packages.
As security threats increase, organisations are seeking to protect their network with more robust security solutions like UTM that offer the performance and features necessary to effectively protect them against increasingly sophisticated Internet threats, said Abdulla Hashim, senior vice president for ICT at Etisalat. The Managed Secure Connect (UTM) service will help customers reduce the complexity of handling multiple security solutions and give them a centralised management through Etisalat, he said.
