Wednesday 3 October 2012 | 09:48 CET | News
UAE operator Etisalat has announced the availability of the nano-SIM card across its business centres and outlets. CMO Khaled ElKhoul said Etisalat placed a large order to ensure wide availability to meet customer demand. The nano-SIM cards are compatible with the new iPhone 5, which he said Etisalat will be offering within a matter of weeks. Customers will be able to choose from a wide range of Etisalat plans, including some that will offer the device for free. Etisalat's LTE network supports internet speeds of up to 150 Mbps to support apps such as video-streaming, networked gaming and much more. It covers more than 80 percent of the country's populated areas.
