Etisalat to offer iPhone 5 ´within weeks´

UAE operator Etisalat plans to launch the iPhone 5 within "weeks" despite no official launch date from Apple. Etisalat will provide the new iPhone with a range of plans including some offering the device for free, ArabianBusiness reported, citing a statement from CMO Khaled El Khouly. Apple said it sold more than five million units of its iPhone 5 during the first three days, surpassing a record set last year by the previous model. The official figure was lower than analysts expected despite it setting a new record for any phone.
