FET records 60,000 iPhone 5 pre-orders on first day

Taiwanese communications provider Far EasTone Telecommunications (FET) has seen pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 5 exceed 60,000 within one day of opening reservations for the device on 4 December. Taiwan Mobile received over 20,000 pre-orders on the first day, CNA reports. Chunghwa Telecom saw its website crash due to heavy traffic to its pre-order page.
