FLEXTECH SET TO ACQUIRE TCI PROGRAMMING

Tele-Communications' (TCI) (US), cable operator, programming interests in Europe are about to be acquired by Flextech, satellite and cable TV group. Under the agreement, Flextech will assume managerial control of a series of cable and satellite channels. Flextech will also become the second-largest channel operator in the satellite and cable market with the deal. In exchange, Flextech will be 60% acquired by TCI. Flextech will acquire from TCI 100% of Bravo, classic films channel, 25% of the Children's Channel, 25% of UK Gold, and 31% of UK Living, channel mostly aimed at women.
