Frontier deploys Wholesale EVPL Silver service

Frontier Communications has announced the deployment of Wholesale Ethernet Virtual Private Line (EVPL) Silver service. EVPL Silver offers point-to-point digital connectivity with standard Ethernet interfaces of 10/100/1000 Mbps and scalable throughput of 1Mbps through a full Gigabit. Frontier's Wholesale Channel offers EVPL Silver in twenty-three states including: Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Looking forward, Frontier expects Wholesale Ethernet releases to include multipoint-to-multipoint capabilities, Class of Service, Internet access, regional interconnects, network performance reporting and service level agreements. EVPL Silver will be available over the next eighteen months to larger businesses.
