Japan's Fujitsu is planning to open a data centre in Sydney, Australia, in July this year. This would be Fujitsu's seventh data centre facility in Australia. The facility will measure 1,500 square metres and is expandable to 10,000 square metres, the Nikkei reports. In November last year, the company opened a 3,000 square metre data centre in Perth and capital spending on these two facilities is likely to reach nearly JPY 10 billion. From March, Fujitsu plans to offer cloud computing services in Australia, marking it the first country where it will offer these services outside of Japan.
