Global Crossing offers Australian Open transmission services

Global Crossing has provided event transmission services at the Australian Open 2011. Global Crossing provided services to US-based Tennis Channel, Australia's Fox Sports, and NTV-Plus, which provides services in Russia, Siberia, and Ukraine. Global Crossing Genesis Solutions provided the broadcasters with integrated services, including standard-definition (SD) and high-definition (HD) video transmission paths, high-definition frame rate conversion, multiple Ethernet data circuits, and a combination of MPEG2 and MPEG4 compression technologies. All services were network protected, diversely routed end-to-end and monitored and managed by Global Crossing Genesis Solutions' on-site technical support, as well as by Genesis Solutions Network Operation Center and network engineering teams.
