Globe launches iPhone 5 plans

Philippine communications provider Globe Telecom has officially launched the Apple iPhone 5. The 16 GB model is offered for free on the Plan 2499, the 32 GB version is free on the Plan 3799, and the 64 GB model comes free with a Plan 5K. Customers can also choose a cheaper plan and pay a handset fee. Globe offers installment payments at 0 percent interest to partner credit card holders. Existing postpaid subscribers can also get the iPhone 5 through the "Reset" programme, which allows subscribers to renew or extend their existing account to get the device at a discount. Furthermore, iPhone 5 subscribers get several perks, such a a free one-year subscription to the GCash American Express Virtual Card, a 50 percent discount on iPhone accessories, and free download of Globe mobile apps.
