GMX launches SMS app for Android devices

German webmail services provider GMX, a United Internet group company, has launched a new SMS app for Android handsets and smartphones. The app is available to download from www.gmx.net/gmx-sms and allows users to send SMS messages as Twitter messages (Tweets). The GMX SMS app allows users to send multi-part texts with up to 760 characters to several recipients. Users can send up to 100 free texts via GMX, with each additional text costing EUR 0.09 each.
