Google, KDDI launch SMB web site service

Google Japan, telecommunications firm KDDI, and Jimdo (a KKDI partner) have launched a web site creation service for small and medium sized businesses. Using Jimdo's service, businesses can create their own website including a top level domain. Google Japan supports participants with several offerings, including AdWords packages, for advertising the new websites. The project partners expect about 150,000 businesses to build websites in the first year.
