The University of Szczecin chose GTS Poland in a tender to provide telecommunications services and telephone exchange rental for a period of four years, reports Rpkom.pl. The amount of the contract is PLN 1.76 million, with the budget estimated at PLN 4.3 million. In the tender, there were five participants, Telekomunikacja Polska being the winner of the first round with a contract worth PLN 1.62 million. However, the national appeals court annulled the result, since the offer of Telekomunikacja Polska did not meet the technical specifications in the tender. After the re-assessment of the bids, GTS Poland won the contract. The participants included also Polkomtel (PLN 1.97 million), Warsaw-based company DiD (PLN 1.94 million) and Netia (PLN 1.85 million). GTS Poland won also another tender (among three participants), organized by the Technical Inspection Office (UDT), for provision of a WAN network using MPLS (IP VPN) to connect all branches and departments of the office in Poland. The office estimated costs for the project at PLN 7.18 million, and the winning offer estimates the project at PLN 2.19 million.
