Hulu to reduce number of board members - report

Friday 11 March 2011 | 09:01 CET | News
US catch-up TV service Hulu is planning to shrink its board, people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal. Walt Disney CEO Bob Iger and News Corp COO Chase Carey may give up their board seats, as part of the changes. The move to a smaller board is an attempt to streamline decision-making at the company. Hulu's board until recently has included 12 members, including three each from its three media shareholders. It was unclear how many people would remain on the board under the plan being discussed. Hulu is owned by News Corp, NBCUniversal, Disney, Providence Equity Partners and Hulu employees.
