Iinet shareholders okay AAPT consumer division buy

Shareholders of Australian ISP iiNet have approved the acquisition of the AAPT Consumer Division at the extraordinary general meeting held on 29 September. Following the merger, iiNet will have more than 1.3 million customer services, including in excess of 650,000 DSL subscribers, with over 2,000 staff across four countries. Completion of the acquisition will occur on 30 September and is expected to be EPS accretive in FY 2011 and beyond.
