Inmarsat FleetBroadband service supports Volvo Ocean Race

Global mobile satellite communications services provider Inmarsat is supporting the Volvo Ocean Race round-the-world challenge with its FleetBroadband voice and broadband data service. Three competitors in the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012 are using the Rolex Fastnet Race as an opportunity for their media crew members (MCMs) to practice broadcasting HDTV and rich multimedia content to the world's media using the Inmarsat satellite network.
