La Poste Mobile launches quad-play service

Tuesday 23 April 2013 | 10:36 CET | News
French MVNO La Poste Mobile, a 51/49 joint venture between the country's post office and operator SFR, has entered the fixed line market with the launch of a quad-play service called Quatro. The service combines a La Poste Mobile mobile plan with La Box de SFR gateway costing EUR 29.99 a month. The operator indicates that customers can save between EUR 5 and EUR 12 a month on the mobile plan, when combined with La Box. CEO Marc Zemmour said he expects to sell several thousand Quatro subscriptions this year. La Poste mobile also said it would launch a quad play plan in June costing EUR 0 for the mobile component, offering 10 minutes of mobile calls a month. The operator had 700,000 mobile customers in March 2013 and now targets 1 million by the end of the year.
