LifeWatch, China Telecom sign medical smartphone deal

Switzerland-based LifeWatch, a wireless cardiac monitoring service provider, has signed a binding MoU with China Telecom for the sale of LiveWatch V medical smartphones and related services, The company said the contract has a potential of more than USD 400 million in sales over the next five years in China. China Telecom is the first partner for LifeWatch's medical smartphone. The MoU provides for a minimum purchase volume over the next five years. In return China Telecom is granted exclusivity for the territory of China.
