MICROSOFT DELAYS LAUNCH OF WINPAD PDA

Microsoft will delay its launch of the Winpad Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) until 1996. The firm is having problems improving the speed of the devices, which are running slowly even with an 80486 processor and 2MB of memory, whilst keeping the end price below USDlr500/unit.
