NBTC to hold 2.1 GHZ licence auction in September or October

The telecom committee of Thailand's National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has approved a timeline for the auction of 2.1 GHz spectrum licences. In March and April, the committee will draft a detailed auction plan with proposed starting prices for licences and hold a public hearing, The Nation writes citing Settapong Malisuwan, chairman of the telecom committee. The details for the auction will be released in May and companies will be invited for the auction in June. The bidding is expected to take place in September or October.
