NDS provides hybrid technology for Vodafone TV

Vodafone Germany's IPTV service Vodafone TV is based on broadcasting services provider NDS's hybrid technology. This includes NDS's encryption system VideoGuard, its set-top software MediaHighway as well as EPG-, DVR-, VOD- and internet technologies. The technologies enable Vodafone to offer a hybrid set-top box with IPTV content to existing cable TV or satellite TV customers, without the need of ending those subscriptions. No financial details were disclosed.
