NetCom expands LTE coverage to winter sport resorts

Norwegian operator NetCom has expanded its LTE network to popular winter sport resorts. Customers in Beitostolen, and parts of Hemsedal, Geilo, Trysil, Sjusjoen, Skeikampen, Hafjell and Kvitfjell can now enjoy very high mobile internet speeds via NetCom's mobile network. NetCom had already launched 4G services in Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Sandnes, Lillestrom, Strommen, Ski, Sandefjord and parts of Tjome and Larvik. Besides launching LTE in new places, NetCom is also upgrading its 3G network to Turbo 3G + (21.6 Mbps) in popular holiday cabin areas and ski resorts in the mountains along the south coast and the four large cities. Other places with Turbo 3G + have been upgraded to 14.4 Mbps. NetCom's Turbo 3G+ coverage has been extended to Gol, Geilo, Trysil, Al, Skeikampen, Golsfjellet, Norefjell, Hemsedal, Tyin, Ringebu, Kvitfjell, Beitosdolen, Hovden, Haglebufjell, Hafjell, Tjome, Notteroy, Tonsberg, Larvik, Helgeroa, Kragero and Grimstad.
