Orange Poland launches Orange Cash service
Orange Poland, in cooperation with mBank and MasterCard Europe, has prepared a new service named Orange Cash, allowing NFC payments. The service will be launched in November. Orange Poland launched a NFC pilot (with 2,000 participants) back in March 2011. Poland will be the third country after France (2010) and the UK (2011) which will launch NFC commercially. The first 20,000 customers who register for a card with mBank will receive a bonus credit of PLN 15. Moreover, customers of Orange Cash will be provided with an additional bonus of 50 percent of the recharged amount during three months (the bonus up to PLN 50 a month) if they open eKonto account with mBank. The range of phones from Orange supporting NFC includes: HTC One X, Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia 808 Pure View, Sony Xperia S, Sony Xperia P, Sony Xperia T, Samsung Galaxy SIII, BlackBerry Bold 9900 smartphone and BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone.
