RIM starts carrier lab tests for BlackBerry 10

Research In Motion announced a new milestone in the long-awaited launch of its new operating system BlackBerry 10: the software has now started testing with operators. CEO Thorsten Heins said in a statement on the company's website that Blackberry 10 was accepeted for lab testing by more than 50 carriers, ahead of an expected launch in Q1 2013. He has been touring the world in recent weeks to discuss the new OS with operators. The company has also been promoting the platform with developers and holding presentations for enterprise customers.
