Rogers reogranises into services, network divisions
Thursday 17 September 2009 | 10:26 CET
Canada's Rogers Communications announced changes to its management and organisation in order to deal with the recent slowdown in growth. Edward S. Rogers, son of company founder Ted Rogers and head of the cable division, was appointed deputy chairman. He will oversee major strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions as executive VP of the new Emerging Business and Corporate Development group. The company also announced the further integration of its cable and mobile businesses. This will lead to the creation of a Communications services organisation and a Network organisation. The Communications organisation will be led by Rob Bruce, and the Network organization will be led by Bob Berner, executive VP Network and CTO.
